Our Story
J.W. Thompson Insurance Agency is a locally owned agency based in Bullhead City, Arizona. Jerry Thompson moved into agency ownership in 2023. From this office, we serve clients across Arizona, Nevada, and California. Our approach grows from a simple belief: a useful insurance conversation begins with your situation, not a product list.
Why We Exist
A few years ago, I read a book that completely changed the way I thought about life insurance. Until then, I had seen it much like most people do—as something you buy to protect your family if the unexpected happens.
What I discovered was that, when it's designed properly, life insurance can do much more. It can become a financial tool that helps families build stability, create opportunities, and leave a lasting legacy for future generations.
That realization changed the way I look at insurance altogether.
Today, whether we're talking about auto, home, business, or life insurance, I approach every conversation the same way: by helping people understand their options before making decisions. I believe insurance should never be about selling policies. It should be about helping people make informed choices that support the life they're building.

Jerry serves as Treasurer of Bullhead Business Builders and is a member of Bullhead City Elks Lodge #2408, the Bullhead City Chamber of Commerce, and the Laughlin Chamber of Commerce. These are personal service and membership roles; they do not imply that any organization endorses the agency.
